Our Mission
Carrol Castille, the owner of Whispering Oaks, has been involved in racing and breeding basically all of his life.
Successful businessman with 38+ years of extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the horse industry, including both the thoroughbred and quarter horse industries. Carrol started in the horse racing industry at the age of 16 and it continues today to be his greatest joy. Currently sits on the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeder's Association Board and previously sat on the Horseman's Benevolent Protective Agency Board. He is an active member of both the Louisiana Thoroughbred Association and Louisiana Quarter Horse Association.
Carrol has done his homework and has brought the top United State's bloodlines in stallions to the the State of Louisiana; thus enhancing the state's breeding program. This 2024 season the farm has four phenomenal stallions standing at the farm: IRON FIST a son of the great stallion Tapit , ONE LINER , son of the hot stallion Into Mischief and NO PAROLE son of Violence. Now standing in 2024 COLONELSDARKTEMPER by Colonel John. Whispering Oaks Farm is located minutes from Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino. The staff here at our farm welcomes guests to stop by and visit.
