Our Mission
6Carrol Castille, the owner of Whispering Oaks, has been involved in racing and breeding basically all of his life.
Successful businessman with 38+ years of extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the horse industry, including both the thoroughbred and quarter horse industries. Carrol started in the horse racing industry at the age of 16 and it continues today to be his greatest joy. Currently sits on the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeder's Association Board and previously sat on the Horseman's Benevolent Protective Agency Board. He is an active member of both the Louisiana Thoroughbred Association and Louisiana Quarter Horse Association.
Carrol has done his homework and has brought the top United State's bloodlines in stallions to the the State of Louisiana; thus enhancing the state's breeding program. This 2026 season the farm has six phenomenal stallions standing at the farm: IRON FIST a son of the great stallion Tapit , NO PAROLE son of Violence, WIT son of Practical Joke, RUSHIE son of Liams Map and COLONELSDARKTEMPER by Colonel John. Now standing in Louisiana is KEEPMEINMIND a son of Laoban. Whispering Oaks Farm is located minutes from Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino. The staff here at our farm welcomes guests to stop by and visit.
